In 2001, when the chance came to us to purchase Newfield Lodge we had to take it with both hands. Here we had an opportunity to open a care home compliant to the 'Fit For The Future Care Standards Act 2000', accompanied with our own tried and tested formula of comfort and care within a family atmosphere. Newfield Lodge is subtly furnished to the highest standards. The lounge areas are light and airy. The bedrooms are spacious and superbly appointed (in fact such is the size of these bedrooms (up 23 m² not forgetting a further 4m² en-suite facility!) that residents who wish to bring their own furniture or items of sentimental value are welcome to do so). Newfield Lodge benefits from its close proximity to St. Annes town centre and so is popular with residents who like to venture out to the shops whenever they want.

Newfield Lodge enjoys the benefits of a settled team with a mix of ages and talents. The vast majority of the team have been in place for over 5 years now (some remain since the opening in 2001), meaning that we are able to offer our residents the security and stability they require.

In addition to all mandatory training such as moving and handling, abuse, infection control, basic first aid, food hygiene, health & safety and the common induction standards, the care team at Newfield Lodge are encouraged to take advantage of the many other relevant training opportunities. At this point in time, 92% of all care staff hold an NVQ Level 2 in care or above (many of these have NVQ Level 3, several have NVQ Level 4 and one has the Registered Manager's Award (RMA)). The remaining 8% are working towards their NVQ Level 2. In addition, should you need an engineer, one of the team is a holder of a B. Eng in chemical engineering!

Newfield Lodge are the innovators and masters of organisation. Each member of the team knows exactly what is expected of them, meaning they are able to work without constant supervision; this means there is more time to spend with the residents and build strong, productive relationships.
